Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman will repeat his role as Wolverine when he joins the highly expected Deadpool threequel cast, revealed Ryan Reynolds.
Deadpool and Wolverine have been both Marvel characters but have never been part of the studios’ more expansive cinematic universe (MCU) due to several licensing deals with 20th Century Studios.
20th Century Studios owned the rights to both characters. Ever since its purchase by Disney (who also owns Marvel), rumors were abuzz that the pair would be included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

On Twitter, Reynolds shared a video of the production process for the third Deadpool film before eventually revealing Jackman himself.
He asked, “Hey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” He then walked up the stairs eating food behind Reynolds, and said: “Yeah, sure, Ryan.”
Movie-goers will get to watch the third installment of Deadpool in September 2024, directed by Shawn Levy. He previously worked with Reynolds on The Adam Project and Free Guy.
This film marks Deadpool’s arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is the result of 20th Century Fox’s union with Disney.
Jackman played Wolverine on screen for 17 years and retired from the character with the 2016 movie “Logan,” where the character dies at the film’s end.
