Amazon’s e-mail to the consumers warning them about the security breach.

To convey the matter directly to the consumers, Amazon sent an email to all the affected IDs. The email read: “No other information related to your account was shared. This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to take any action,” to customers.

An Amazon spokesperson said, “The individuals responsible for this incident have been terminated and we are supporting law enforcement in their prosecution.” But, not much is known about the employees. Moreover, what information was shared and with whom was also not revealed. The firm didn’t disclose the number of customers that are affected.

This is the second incident when there was a breach in Amazon. Last year, the same thing had happened but Amazon refused to comment further.
