Elizabeth Chambers, Armie Hammer’s ex-wife, spoke about the co-parenting challenges since the couple is not done with their divorce.
Chambers, the founder of Bird Bakery and host of Food Network, has conveyed particulars about her ongoing divorce from Hammer and her shared parenting challenges in a cover story with ‘And the! newsletter.’
Actor Armie Hammer, who’s known for his roles in ‘The Social Network,’ ‘Mirror Mirror,’ ‘Call me by your name,’ and ‘Death on the Nile’ was at the center of a social media scandal in 2021 after women came forward with the direct messages he sent from his Instagram handle. It detailed his need for graphic sexual desires and cannibalism.
He was also accused of rape and abuse, which he has since denied.
Before the social media scandal, Elizabeth Chambers and Hammer announced their separation in July 2020. Since then, Chambers has opted out of the limelight and is staying in the Cayman Islands, raising their two boys – Harper (seven) and Ford (five).
“We are fully and completely committed to our children and to be together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our children. Children need their mothers; children need their fathers. So there is nothing we will not do,” she explained.
However, Chambers disclosed that there are common parenting challenges along the way. She also divulged that “Armie has been focused on his recovery.”
“There is a reason on the plane they say, ‘Secure your mask before helping others.’ He was too busy securing his mask. My mask is secured, [the kids’] The masks are on, so right now, it was a lot more about focusing on and protecting them,” she said.
Chambers added, “I am such a traditional person, and I love family, and I would have had seven children if I could. But I am just living in the moment and being happy, We don’t need to overthink anything, and everything that happens is beautiful.”
The TV personality is now in a committed relationship; with health therapist Ricardas Kazinic. She is “open to everything” when asked if she’s ready to remarry.
