Chandrayaan-2 has shared the first set of images of the Earth from its LI4 Camera. The images were shared by ISRO’s official twitter handle, which has since gotten 86K likes. ISRO also said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will himself witness the landing of the lander Vikram carried by spacecraft Chandrayaan-2. It is expected to land on the moon on September 7.

ISRO had organized a quiz in coordination with MyGov.in and two students scored the highest in it. Those two students will be watching alongside the PM at the ISRO’s Bengaluru center.
ISRO made a series of tweets which had images attached to it. Each tweet contained different images of the Earth’s view from the lander’s camera. The timestamp of the clicked pictures were 5:29 p.m., 5:32 p.m., 5:34 p.m. and 5:37 p.m. UT.
ISRO said on Friday, the fourth orbit was successfully performed at 3:27 p.m., which raised activity for India’s moon spacecraft Chandrayaan-2. The said orbit was raised to 277×89,472 km by firing the onboard motors for 646 seconds. ISRO further stated that all the spacecraft parameters are normal. In addition, the fifth orbit is scheduled between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on August 6.
ISRO is continuing with the online quiz contest that is to be held between August 10-12. The Indian space agency said they are holding these quizzes to make the students aware and learn more about space programs. To participate, you will have to log on to www.MyGov.in. In order to participate, the contestants must be Indian citizens only. To win the quiz, one has to answer most of the questions in a shorter time period. The duration of the quiz is 5 minutes while the questions to be answered are 20.
There are a total of three segments of the spacecraft – the Orbiter (weighing 2,379 kg, eight payloads), the lander ‘Vikram’ (1,471 kg, four payloads) and rover ‘Pragyan’ (27 kg, two payloads).
