Google Pixel 3a: Colors, Specifications, Key Features, Leaked Ahead of May 7 Launch

The Pixel 3a has long been rumored, with innumerable leaks revealing key details. But today, we bring you the complete list of its specifications. Pixel 3a and its bigger sibling 3a XL will be an affordable smartphone, a first by Google. This move may also be taken to counter poor sales of Google Pixel 3. If it’s true, then the upcoming phones are direct rivals to Samsung’s A series and Xiaomi, who’s considered the king of smartphones in India.

Pixel 3a

Getting into the details, the Pixel 3a will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM (Seriously, Google?) The storage options include 64GB and 128GB. The smaller Pixel will have a single rear camera, which could be a 12MP unit that is inside the original Pixel 3. Rumors suggest that the front-facing camera will be an 8MP sensor, although that’s not confirmed.

Pixel 3a could also come with USB Type-C, seeing the Pixel 3 already has one. While there’s no word on the screen size or the resolution, Pixel 3a will pack a 2915mAh battery, just like the Pixel 3. We don’t have any confirmation on whether the device will be a single or dual-SIM.

Some promotional pictures were also leaked, giving us a peek at the color choices Google has opted for the Pixel 3a. The forthcoming handset will come in three colors with the same old weird names – Purplish, Black and White. Google’s call screen and night sight will also be a part of the 3a series.

The Launch

There’s no word on the Pixel 3a XL, but going by the older Pixel series, it will have a bigger display and a battery, other features would be the same. Pricing is also shrouded in mystery but going by the SoC, it will definitely not be a flagship-priced device. Google will launch the 3a series at the Google I/O keynote on May 7. We will give you all the information you need so stay tuned.
