After the launch of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, it seems that Google has started to work on the budget variants and the successors to the Pixel 3a phones i.e. the Pixel 4a line. Google is reportedly working on Pixel 4a and Pixel 4a XL smartphones and the leaked renders show the Pixel 4a sporting a punch-hole which is located on the top-left corner. However, the overall footprint of the device will be smaller due to the reduced size of the top and bottom bezels. The leak comes courtesy of @OnLeaks who has already leaked detailed renders of all major 2020 flagships.
The phone is expected to measure 144.2 x 69.5 x 8.2mm in size. At the back, the Pixel 4a will sport a matte finish and a camera hump similar to the Pixel 4. The phone will only have a single camera and not employ the same dual-camera setup that we saw on the Pixel 4. The renders also show a 3.5mm audio jack on the top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. The renders also show a physical fingerprint scanner at the rear of the phone.
However, the renders do not show any Project Soli-based hardware on the Pixel 4a. This might be because the Pixel 4a will be a budget-oriented smartphone and not a premium one like the Pixel 4. The same also explains the inclusion of a physical fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 4a despite the sensor missing on the Pixel 4. Moreover, the phones will probably launch at Google I/O 2020 developer conference.
