As we all know that the most expensive Apple iPhone of this year is the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The 64GB variant of the phone is available at a starting price of Rs 1,09,900 whereas the 512GB variant is priced at Rs 1,41,900. Let us take a look at how much does it cost to make the iPhone? According to a CultofMac report, Techinsights have torn down each and every component of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and then estimated the cost of each one.
The market research firm Techinsights on its website mentioned that “All cost estimates provided here are compiled using the information available to us at the time of the initial teardown. Some assumptions have been made where concrete data is not yet available.”
The expected cost of all the components comes close to $490.50, which is approximately equal to Rs 35,000. However, in India, the cost of the phone gets higher because of the import duties. The most expensive part of the phone is its triple rear camera lens that is estimated to cost about $73.50 which is approximately Rs 5,300.
The second most expensive part is the OLED display which is expected to cost $66.50 followed by the Apple A13 processor, which is probably priced at $64. On the other hand, the costs of the additional components add up to less than $500, which is about 45% less than the selling price of the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
