Step 4: Look for the ‘Security’ option under Settings.

Instagram will take a minimum of 48 hours or 2 days to send you your profile information, photos, and comments. Make sure that you wait for the email before deleting your account.
How to Delete Instagram Account on iPhone
Once you are done with the backup, you can safely proceed to delete your Instagram account. The option of deleting an Instagram account is not a simple kill switch in the application; you will have to log in to the Instagram account on a browser and delete your account from there. But before deleting your account, you should take a backup of your account, just in case.
Step 1: Open a browser of your preference, be it Safari or Chrome on your iPhone. Go to this website. Here you will have to log in with your Instagram credentials be it your Insta handle, email, or phone number and password.

How to delete the Instagram app from your iOS device
Step 1: Navigate to Instagram on your iPhone. If you have a lot of applications installed, you will have to make a lot of swipes on your home screen.
Step 2: Tap and hold on Instagram’s app icon. Doing so, the icon will start shaking which means it is preparing for deletion. Also, you should be able to see a small circle with ‘X’ inside it.
