People are busy looking at their phones nowadays, which has been damaging our eyes. A blue light filter somewhat helps but the white background still gives the eyes enough strain that can affect sleep patterns. So, with the software getting more user-friendly and companies rolling out dark mode, some apps are yet to implement this feature. Joining the list is Facebook’s Messenger Android app, which enables the users to turn on the dark mode, with an emoji. Yes, you read it right. It’s a fun little way to lower the eye- strain.
To Enable Dark Mode on Facebook Messenger:
- Open Messenger.
- Send a moon ‘?’ emoji to anyone.
- Keep tapping on the emoji until you see moon emojis raining down in the thread.
- You’ll see a pop-up which says ‘You Found Dark Mode’
- If this fun way isn’t fun for you, you can alternatively head on to your profile picture and tap on the Dark Mode toggle.
This dark mode is a rich black color which is perfect for OLED screens. So there you have it. Tell us what you think of this nifty feature.
