Wi-Fi has become ubiquitous. It’s found at a railway station, on an airport, at restaurants and even at hotels. Most of the time they are free to use. Our devices like laptops, smartphones or tablets even support increased speeds for faster downloads. Thanks to the ever-increasing work demands, we are very much dependant on our Wi-Fi as the LTE connections are no match for it (yet). But we can’t carry Wi-Fi everywhere, unfortunately.
In some unimaginable circumstances where Wi-Fi isn’t available, so we then rely on other people’s LTE connections. It can be used as a hotspot and it has been around for a while now. This year, Jio introduced the Wi-Fi Hotspot for their Jio phones and users couldn’t stop gushing about the feature. If you’ve got the update and you are unsure how to turn on Wi-Fi Hotspot in Jio Phone, we’ll give you a step by step guide, so jump right in!
How to Turn On Wi-Fi Hotspot in Jio Phone
Make sure you’ve updated your Jio Phone or else you won’t be able to share your data with other people. Even if your phone is updated, the feature will be turned off by default so we’ll have to tweak a few settings. Go to your phone’s Settings menu. Look for Networks and Connectivity option. Click on Internet Sharing. You will see the Wi-Fi Hotspot option. Tap on it to turn it on.
You can change the name of your hotspot and set a password for security reasons. You can now share your data with your friends. The hotspot notification will show in the notification panel.
Ensure that you recharge your number with an unlimited pack so that you don’t cap your data limit even if multiple devices are connected to your hotspot. Check your mobile balance or set a caller tune in various ways.
