HTC Wildfire X Launched in India: Specifications, Pricing & more

HTC is all set to make a stunning comeback in the budget segment. The Taiwanese firm launched the Wildfire X smartphone yesterday with some rather impressive specifications. This will be HTC’s first phone to be launched in India this year. To jog your memory, HTC Desire 12 series was the last one launched in this country. HTC Desire 19+ was launched this June but it didn’t make it to India.

The phone is priced aggressively which is a good thing. There is a lot of competition that HTC has to face. Phones such as Redmi Note 7S, the Samsung Galaxy M20 are its bigger competitors and the Wildfire X’s pricing will definitely help reach more hands.

HTC Wildfire X sports a 6.2 inches HD+ IPS display with a waterdrop notch. It has an 88.8% screen to body ratio. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 2.0 GHz Octa-core processor. It runs Android 9 Pie. Users can choose from two RAM & options: 3GB/4GB, 32GB and 128GB respectively. It also supports storage expansion via a micro SD card.

The phone has a triple camera setup which includes a 12MP primary sensor, an 8 MP 8x hybrid zoom lens and a 5MP depth sensor. The front camera is an 8MP selfie shooter housed inside that waterdrop notch. There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, which is quite rare in this price segment.

To keep things ticking, the phone has a 3300mAh battery which comes with a 10W charger in the box which charges via the USB Type C port. Speaking about the design, HTC Wildfire X sports curve edges, slim shape, and a 3D OPVD mirror finish. It also weighs light.

The HTC Wildfire X starts at ₹9,999 for the base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The other variant, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, costs ₹12,999. Keep in mind that these prices are under limited period offer and are subject to change. Users will be able to buy the HTC Wildfire X exclusively on Flipkart starting August 22 in India.
