Chinese giant Huawei is all set to launch its latest flagship P30 Pro and its smaller sibling P30 Lite in India on 9th April. Back in March when the Huawei officially unveiled P30 line in Paris, they teased an imminent availability on Amazon.
Official specifications for the P30 Pro includes 6.4 inches OLED FullHD+ HDR10 display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio. On the software front, it runs on Android 9.0 Pie on Huawei’s EMUI 9.1. Under the hood, the P30 Pro offers the latest Kirin 980 SoC coupled with Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The storage options are of a variety with base storage of 128GB, 256GB or 512GB for the memory hungry consumers. It can be further expanded up to 256GB but does not sport a regular microSD card; instead, it ships with a Nano-Memory, which is developed by Huawei.
The P30 Pro is all set to dethrone the Pixel 3 series with its super capable quad-camera. The lenses are Leica-backed and have 3 different fields of view: main 40MP f/1.6 shooter which is 27mm wide, the second lens is a 20MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle, giving us a 16mm view and the third is a periscope telephoto lens with 8MP f/3.4, giving us 5x optical zoom. Only the first and third lenses have OIS. The fourth is a Time-of-Flight camera. To make sure all these heavy features don’t take a toll on the phone, Huawei has equipped a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
As for the P30 Lite, it sports a 6.1 inches IPS display coupled with Kirin 710 SoC with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and Mali-G51 GPU. On the camera front, P30 Lite has a triple lens setup with a 24MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. With a 3,340 mAh battery and 22.5W fast charging, users would get a day’s battery life.
Unlike its elder sibling, the Lite version comes with a headphone jack. Both the devices feature a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 and a tiny dewdrop notch for an immersive experience. Huawei’s 2019 phones have set a bar rather high as positive reviews are pouring in from the western critics, so it will be interesting to see how it fares in India.
