Huawei’s P30 and Mate 30 series has been quite a hit this year, even if the devices faced a lot of troubles. We are close to 2020 and some manufacturers, including Samsung and Huawei, launch their respective flagships around February or March. The internet recently witnessed a leaked photo of the upcoming P40 phone and it’s looking good so far.
Now, more rumors are coming forward with various aspects of the smartphone. The original tweet mentioned that the P40 will equip a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that will support HDR. It will also cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The phone will also have two punch-holes for the front-facing cameras.
The P40 series could also equip the 120Hz higher refresh rate into its display. This will make it the first flagship phone to feature this high refresh rate, barring some gaming phones.
Huawei’s Mate 30 series had a waterfall display that curved right up to the side bezels, which are nonexistent. Though the display looks gorgeous, it’s a bit uncomfortable. Even the buttons made the switch to virtual buttons. Other rumors point to a massive shift in battery technology, increasing the mAh to 5,500. Huawei smartphones are already excellent at handling the battery life and such a huge number means P40 could be a 3-day smartphone.

Huawei will use graphene in the P40’s battery that will allow the phone to reach the stated capacity at 70% the volume of lithium batteries. In addition, the battery will be fully charged in 45 minutes, thanks to the 50W charging capability that will be simultaneously introduced.
However, the question of whether or not Google services will be offered in the P40 still looms. We will keep you updated with more information.
