Oscar-winner filmmaker Sofia Coppola is all set to direct Priscilla Beaulieu Presley’s 1985 bestselling biography “Elvis and Me.”
The role of Elvis Presley will be played by Jacob Elordi, while Priscilla will be played by Cailee Spaeny. The movie will shoot this fall in Toronto.
The film is titled as “Priscilla,” and Coppola herself wrote the feature film.
Coppola will reunite for the film with some of her longstanding associates, including production designer Tamara Deverell, editor Sarah Flack, cinematographer Philippe Le Sourd, and costume designer Stacey Battat.
With On The Rocks and The Bling Ring, this is Sofia Coppola’s third project with A24.
The Apartment and Sony’s Stage 6 Films are responsible for financing the production.
