Many countries are putting the lockdown in place to keep the new Covid-19 variant at bay. Unfortunately, this effectively means that some of us are again confined in the four walls we have come to dislike.

Unfortunately, this also means we’ll have some more time on our hands to catch our favorite movie marathons or watch the ones you never had time for.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has a fan following of millions, but many have watched it without any order.

There are 24 Marvel movies and 3 Disney+ series in the four phases: a roller-coaster ride. Avengers Endgame was a colossal movie featuring every Marvel hero we have come to love.

If you are new to the MCU and managed to stay away from the spoilers, pat yourself on your back. If you have watched all the movies, but not in the correct order, you can’t undo it with the help of the Time Stone.

It doesn’t matter which segment you belong to; I have listed all the Marvel movies in chronological order, including the new series – which are fabulous! In addition, I have taken the liberty to mention the upcoming MCU movies, 3 of which will release in 2021. Scroll below to watch the Marvel movies in order.

There are a total of 24 Marvel movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Keep in mind that Marvel has also released three Disney Plus series as a part of Phase Four, so I’ll include that as well.

NOTE: If you live in India, you can watch every marvel movie on Disney+Hotstar.

Marvel Movies in Chronological Order (List 1)

PHASE 1:

Phase 1 began with the first Iron Man movie and ended with The Avengers.

Movies according to the timeline (List 2)

Chronological order follows the MCU timeline. For example, Captain Marvel was released in 2019, but it takes place in the 1990s and is one of the first movies in the timeline.

I recommend watching the Marvel movies in chronological (timeline) order to maximize your understanding of the Avengers saga.

What is the correct order to watch Marvel movies?

It depends on what kind of movie watcher you are. If you want to watch in chronological order and all four phases, then go for List 1. On the other hand, if you want to watch the movies according to the timeline it takes place in, read List 2.

Should I watch Thor The Dark World or Iron Man 3 first?

If you see the way, Disney Plus lists the two movies, Thor: The Dark World comes just before Iron Man 3, but Marvel’s own timeline rearranges the two.

Who really is the ‘First Avenger’?

Captain America, i.e., Steve Rogers, is the first avenger as the story takes place in 1942 during World War 2. Captain Marvel is the second Avenger, whose Air Force call sign “Avenger” influenced Nick Fury to name the team of superheroes Avengers.

Why is Hulk not on Disney plus?

The Incredible Hulk (2008) is available to stream on Netflix in India. US viewers can watch it on rent on Amazon Prime Video and Vudu. It’s not on Disney Plus as a deal was brokered to allow Disney to stream the film in Spain, opening the door to another similar deal in the US.

Can you skip Thor 2?

If you don’t care about a few specifics, then you can absolutely skip Thor: The Dark World (2013). In fact, the single most skippable movie of the MCU.
