HMD Global unveiled three new smartphones yesterday. The event was held online. Along with the phones, Nokia 8.3 5G, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3, HMD Global also launched a data roaming service that the firm deems as ‘hassle-free.’

Let’s take a look at what these three phones have to offer:
Nokia 8.3 5G
Nokia 8.3 5G is the first 5G-enabled device with Nokia branding from HMD Global. It sports a 6.8 inches, punch-hole FHD+ PureDisplay with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The punch-hole 24MP selfie camera is in the top left corner. Users can choose from 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB variants. The 8.3 5G runs on Android 10 out of the box.
The phone has a quad-camera setup on the rear that includes a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. It packs a 4500mAh battery and will be available only in Polar Night color. The base variant will cost EUR 599 (₹48,100) while the top-end variant will cost EUR 649 (₹52,100). The phone will start shipping starting in Summer 2020.
Nokia 5.3
The Nokia 5.3 is a mid-range smartphone that is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 512GB. It features a 6.5 inches waterdrop HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9.
The phone is equipped with a quad-camera setup on the back that included a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP Macro sensor. The waterdrop notch houses an 8MP selfie shooter. It will be available in Cyan, Sand, Charcoal color options. It has a 4000mAh battery and runs on the Android 10 out-of-the-box. HMD guarantees that the device will get software updates for up to 3 years. It will cost EUR 189 (₹15,100). Users will be able to buy the Nokia 5,3 starting April.
Nokia 1.3
The Nokia 1.3 is an entry-level handset that sports a 5.7 inches HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s just a single camera on both, back and front. The rear camera has an 8MP lens, while the selfie camera is a 5MP shooter. It is powered by the Qualcomm QM215 processor and comes in a single storage variant of 1GB+16GB along with the option to expand storage via a microSD card of up to 400GB.
The phone packs a 3000mAh removable battery and runs on Android 10 (Go edition) The Nokia 1.3 comes in three color options — Cyan, Charcoal, Sand. Users would be able to buy this phone in April and will cost EUR 95 (₹7,600).
HMD Global also launched the Nokia 5310 feature phone.
