If any of you folks own a Google Home or Google Assistant-powered speaker, you can now YouTube music without ads. There’s a catch though – you can’t choose songs on-demand, you won’t have any control over what music you play, you can only listen to pre-populated playlists.
One thing to note is that this ad-free music-feature is available to users living in U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Japan, the Netherlands, and Austria. However, it will soon roll out in India as well.
While in India a monthly subscription of YouTube Music will cost you ₹99, in the US you’ll have to fork out $9.99. New users can get a 3 months trial and if you choose to pay, you get YouTube Premium bundled with YouTube Music.
