Pete Lau, the co-founder, and CEO of OnePlus has revealed the first images of OnePlus 7T. Without any doubt, the phone looks remarkable. However, he refers to this phone as the ‘upcoming flagship’ in his post. The image shows off a new circular rear camera module with a triple-camera system. The phone may offer a waterdrop notch on the top similar to the OnePlus 7 and also from the image, it is observed that the dual-LED flash is placed below the sensors inside the camera module.
Lau, on the official OnePlus forum, wrote, “In 2018, we became the first in the industry to release a smartphone with a four-curved, matte-frosted glass back…While we were extremely happy with our matte-frosted glass, we didn’t stop there. We kept exploring, improving, and trying new things. The result? A new smooth matte surface with brilliant metallic radiance and we’re excited to be introducing this new finish on our upcoming flagship. (sic)”
The image shows the smartphone in a gradient shade of blue with a smooth matte surface. Moreover, OnePlus is also bringing the 90Hz screen from the OnePlus 7 Pro to the OnePlus 7T.
According to Pete Lau, OnePlus wanted a perfectly symmetrical design. “With perfect symmetry from any orientation, a circular design became the natural choice. A circle’s rounded edges produce an appealing contrast against the straight lines of a smartphone’s rectangular form for a seamless, balanced feel. After going through over fifty design iterations, we think we’ve landed on something pretty special.”
Pete Lau has revealed only the back design of OnePlus 7T but the phone might offer a pop-up camera to cut down on bezels. Moreover, OnePlus 7T is expected to launch on September 26 in India.
