Soon after OnePlus made a debut into the TV space, it seems that the company is soon going to launch a OnePlus branded smartwatch. As per a report by Phonearena, OnePlus Watch is in the works and it’s almost ready for primetime, too.
Not much is known about the specifications of the upcoming smartwatch but it is believed that it will run on WearOS by Google which is basically a modified version of Android that is designed by Google used on many third-party smartwatches. As shown in the sketch, the device would operate as a regular smartwatch with a circular face and customizable straps.
According to a reliable source, the OnePlus smartwatch will be launched with the next OnePlus flagship series i.e. OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. It might be possible that OnePlus spent most of its time developing its own software for the upcoming smartwatch. Besides, Xiaomi is also going to launch its first smartwatch- ‘Xiaomi Mi Watch’ today. As revealed by a reference in WearOS 2.28 update, the smartwatch will run on Google’s WearOS.
