OPPO has unveiled the much-awaited Reno series in India today, which was made official in China last month. The phone packs interesting hardware with magical cameras. Like the Find X, which was launched last year, this phone too has managed to create plenty of hype. A regular Oppo Reno was also made official.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is a flagship processor running in OnePlus 7 Pro and the S10 series. The main highlight of the event was the 10x zoom camera, which was rumored for a long time. The display is void of hideous notches as it’s an all-display smartphone, all thanks to its pop-up selfie camera.
The design screams premium, which has a smooth back without any camera hump, as the triple camera sits underneath the glass. You don’t have to worry about smudges or fingerprints as the phone’s back has a matte finish.
The Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition runs on Android Pie-based ColorOS 6 and is powered by a 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 855 chipset. It sports a 6.6 inches AMOLED full-HD+ display with a 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. Thanks to the AMOLED display, the phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
On the camera side of things, the smartphone boasts a pop-up selfie camera with a 16MP f/2.0 sensor, that also couples as a face unlock. The front-facing camera rises in 0.8 seconds. It’s not your regular pop-up function, the company calls its a shark fin rising camera design, as the camera rises from the side of the top frame in an 11-degree angle.
The rear panel houses triple lenses, which has a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 16MP telephoto lens. You get a 10x hybrid zoom, which can fetch you a 60x zoom on a digital level.
Other niceties include a 4000mAh battery which supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging over Type-C. The colors available are Jet Black and Ocean Green.
Buyers can choose from either a 6GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB memory with a price of ₹40,000 or ₹50,000, respectively. You can pre-order both the configurations today through Flipkart, Amazon India, PayTm Mall, Snapdeal, and all Oppo stores. The purchases will commence from June 7.
