OPPO is riding high on the success of its Reno smartphone and it seems that its successor is ready to replace it. OPPO took to Twitter to announce the launch of the upcoming Reno 2 smartphone which will feature four cameras and will support 20x zoom. The picture uploaded on Twitter gave us a glimpse.

The picture shows the four vertical cameras stacked according to their sizes, starting from big to small. We suspect that one of these cameras will feature the 20x zoom that OPPO is advertising. If you observe carefully, there’s also the shark-fin selfie camera which has been carried forward from its predecessor. Though the shelf-life of such moving mechanisms is always questionable, the shark fin does give the OPPO Reno 2 a full-screen experience, which would be perfect for playing games or consuming content.
Nowadays, quad-camera setup isn’t jaw-dropping as nearly every manufacturer, be it Huawei, Honor, Lenovo, and Samsung are embracing quad-camera setups. The OPPO Reno featured a 10x hybrid zoom that amalgamates both optical and digital zoom to produce close-up shots clicked from a distance. The 20x zoom is achieved by the periscope telephoto lens, which will get a massive upgrade.
The primary sensor is said to be a 48MP lens, which might also be the case with the lens responsible for the 20x zoom. In addition, the Reno 2 will also equip a lens that will have a 5x hybrid zoom.
The company’s press release said that the Reno’s successor will click some great night shots with the help of Ultra Dark mode along with an Ultra Steady Video feature which will shoot steadier, non-shaky videos. The Chinese manufacturer might also launch another Reeno smartphone with toned-down features.
OPPO also posted another tweet with just a glimpse of the four cameras. The image highlights one of the cameras.
