OPPO’s first R&D center to be in Hyderabad

The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is all set to open its first R&D(research and development) center in Hyderabad.

The Hyderabad R&D center will be Oppos seventh facility globally with the other six being located in China, Japan, and the US.

The company has hired Tasleem Arif as its head in the R&D department.

Charles Wong the OPPO India president said in a statement given by him on the same, ”We are focussed towards offering unique experiences to our consumers in India thro8ugh our innovations and technological capabilities. The opening of our first R&D center in Hyderabad is a step in that direction and strengthens our commitment to the Indian consumers. We are excited to have Tasleem on board and believe that with his expertise we will be able to build a strong R&D team and make this center second largest in China”.

”With this expansion, Oppo aims to offer consumers the best of technology and innovation. The R&D teams are focussed towards understanding consumer trends and demands to come up with insights that will help serve a particular market better”, the company added in the statement.

As the Vice President and Head R&D, Oppo India Arif will be leading the team where the focus would be on software localization for Indian consumers as well as device quality.

Prior to this Arif was associated with Samsung as head-Samsung Make For India Innovations, India hardware Software Product Planning. Arif brings not only Information and knowledge but 15 years of experience in Mobile software, Design, and Development.
