Oppo’s spin-off brand Realme will launch its Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro smartphones in India Today. According to the company, the Realme 5 Pro will be the first budget smartphone to sport a quad-camera setup that will house a 48MP main sensor. Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro Features+Specifications
The Realme 5 series phones will come with a quad-camera setup, a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and a mammoth 5000mAh battery. The Pro version’s fleet of cameras will include a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor, the secondary sensor will be an ultra-wide-angle with a 119-degree field-of-view. The third sensor will be a super macro lens sporting a focal length of 4cm that can capture super-zoomed in shots of small objects while the fourth and last sensor will be a depth sensor for better portraits. As for the regular Realme 5, it might sport a 16MP primary sensor while the rest of three rear cameras will be carried forward from the Pro variant. The camera setup will be a vertical one that will be positioned at the top left corner of the back.
The Geekbench scores had a lot to say about the Realme 5 Pro. It will purportedly ship with Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM. Other rumors suggest it will be powered by the Snapdragon 712 SoC. One can expect the phone to ship with an extra RAM model, a 6GB to be specific. The regular Realme 5 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC ticking with 4GB RAM.
A live image was also leaked by Slashleaks, confirming that the back will indeed have a quad-camera setup with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The back clearly has a glossy back panel, which might be the courtesy of glass design. As for charging, The Pro variant will come with support for VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 technology, that charges 55% of the battery in merely 30 minutes.

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had revealed in a tweet that Realme 5 series will start from less than ₹10,000. Going by our assumptions, the Realme 5 will fit in the ₹10,000 bracket while the Realme 5 Pro will be priced between ₹15,000 – ₹20,000.
