Redmi will soon unveil its Note 8 smartphone, which the company has confirmed. Reports further suggest that the company is also working on other Redmi 8 series phones such as Redmi 8A and the Redmi 8. Popular leaker Slashleaks has leaked some live images of the unconfirmed Redmi 8A. The photos reveal the smartphone’s design and some key specifications. Leaks also point to an upgraded design as compared to the Redmi 7A, considering the design and specifications.
The leaked photos show off Redmi 8A’s red color. There might be more color options but there’s no additional information at this time. The 6.2 HD+ display (not sure) is a waterdrop notch-style which houses the selfie camera. There’s a noticeable chin at the bottom that bears the Redmi branding.
Another photo that shows off its back, makes it clear that the upcoming smartphone will sport a dual-camera system with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a first for Redmi A series of phones. This will cheer-up the Redmi fans for sure. Speaking about the camera, the dual cameras are vertically aligned which sit inside a black color module. This too will be the first time that a Redmi A series phone will come with dual cameras on the back panel.
Reports suggest that the Redmi 8A will be powered by Qualcomm’s 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 439 coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB of base storage. It comes with expansion via a microSD card of up to 512GB. The phone might also pack a 5,000mAh battery, and will run on Android 9 Pie atop MIUI version 9.7.11. Another leak suggests that the Redmi 8A will come with the model number M1908C3IC.
