Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 has dethroned OnePlus 7 Pro to be the world’s fastest smartphone. It scored 88,803 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, beating the OnePlus 7 Pro, which had scored 373,953. Managing Director of Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain announced the feather in K20’s cap by tweeting a picture of the phone with a huge caption.

Redmi K20 Pro was unveiled in China last month, where Xiaomi revealed that the device will see the light of the day in the month of July. While there aren’t any reviews to prove Redmi K20’s prowess as the fastest smartphone but the specifications had tempted us to know more about it.
SPECIFICATIONS
The Redmi K20 Pro sports a 6.3 inches Super AMOLED display with a full HD+ panel, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display is baseless, thanks to the front camera with the now-ubiquitous pop-up camera mechanism. It runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 atop. The Redmi K20 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855 with eight Kryo 485 cores and Adreno 640 GPU. It is available in four variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.
On the camera side of things, it features a triple rear camera module which consists of a 48MP main sensor which has a Laser and Phase-detection autofocus, a 13MP ultrawide unit (12mm focal length) and an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The 48MP primary sensor can record videos at 4K 60 frames per second.
To sustain this much power, the Redmi K20 Pro has a 4000mAh battery that supports 27W Quick Charge 4+ fast charging. And there’s the usual dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port.
PRICING
According to the Chinese price, the Redmi K20 Pro costs CNY 2,499 (₹25,000) for the basic 6GB + 64GB variant while the maxed out version costs CNY 2,999 (₹INR 30,000).
