Redmi K30 to Feature ‘World’s First High-Resolution Image Sensor’: Report

Xiaomi is all set to launch its much-anticipated flagship smartphone- Redmi K30 on December 10. Several important details about Redmi K30 have been already leaked online which includes the processor, connectivity, display design, and the China launch date. Recently, a bit of exciting camera information about the Redmi K30 was teased by the Xiaomi executive. Lu Weibing, General Manager of the Redmi brand, has reportedly said that the Redmi K30 will pack the “world’s first high-resolution image sensor”.

Weibing said that it will use the world’s first high-resolution sensor and might feature Sony’s IMX686 sensor. Also, the Redmi K30 will be the first dual-5G mode smartphone from the company.

As per the reports, the Redmi K30’s standard 4G variant will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The upcoming Redmi K-series phone is tipped to feature a 6.66-inch full-HD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Moreover, it will come equipped with a 4,500mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.

The company is also going to launch a bunch of other products alongside Redmi K30. As in an interview, Lu Weibing confirmed that Xiaomi has adopted a ‘1+4+X’ model where ‘4’ refers to four different categories- smart TV, notebooks, routers, and smart speakers.
