Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and the S20 Ultra phones along with Buds+

The S20 phones and the Galaxy Buds+ will start shipping from March 6 while the Galaxy Z Flip will be available for purchase starting February 14.

The Galaxy S20 is the direct successor of the Galaxy S10. This isn’t the spec-heavy phone out the three but has some great features. It sports a 6.2 inches punch-hole Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with HDR10+ certification. The S20 comes with a 120Hz refresh rate but to use it, you’ll have to lower the resolution to FHD+ but given how responsive this makes the screen, it should be worth the sacrifice.

It is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 7nm+ processor paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via MicroSD card. The S20 has a 4000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. There’s the usual ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0 and the Sub6 5G

As for the cameras, the selfie shooter is a 10MP lens while there are three cameras at the rear. They include a 12MP sensor, a 120˚ ultra-wide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto lens that can achieve a lossless zoom up to 3x.

The Galaxy S20 comes in Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cloud Pink color options. It starts at $999 (₹71,176).

It features a 6.7 inches punch-hole Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O Display with HDR10+ certification. The S20+ also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate but you can only use it on FHD+ resolution.

The S20+ has a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. There’s the usual ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0 and 5G.

As for the cameras, the selfie shooter is a 10MP lens while there’s a quad-camera setup at the back. They include a 12MP main sensor, a 120˚ ultra-wide sensor, and a 64MP telephoto lens that can achieve 3x hybrid optical zoom, and 0.3 MP TOF 3D sensor.

The Galaxy S20+ comes in Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, Cosmic Black color options. It starts at $1199 (₹85,425).

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is a specs-monster that has the craziest features and could be the fastest and most powerful Android in the world right now. Its 6.9 inches punch-hole Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O, HDR10+ Display supports the 120Hz refresh rate but you can only use it on FHD+ resolution.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865/Exynos 990 7nm+ processor coupled with a 12GB/16GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB storage that can be expanded up to 1TB via MicroSD card. The S20 Ultra has a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. There’s the usual ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0, etc.

As for the cameras, the selfie shooter is a 40MP lens while there’s a quad-camera setup at the back which includes a whopping 108MP main sensor, a 120˚ ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto lens. that can achieve a 10x hybrid optical zoom and a 100x zoom named Space Zoom. The last is 0.3 MP TOF 3D sensor.

Galaxy S20 Ultra comes in Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Black color options. It starts at $1399 (₹99,675)

Common features

All the three new Galaxy S20 devices run Android 10 One UI 2.0 out of the box. They can shoot up to 8K at 30FPS. Unfortunately, none of the S20 devices has the 3.5mm headphone jack but you do get Type-C AKG earphones. Moreover, all the models are IP68 rated so swimming with them won’t be an issue.

The second generation of Galaxy Buds hasn’t changed much from the first one but boast some essential upgrades. The main improvement is done in battery life. The Buds+ can last up to 11 hours and a total of 22 hours including the charging case. They are equipped with dual dynamic drivers, which means the audio quality is more refined. Moreover, there are two new external microphones, a total of three, that will help improve the voice calls.

The Galaxy Buds Plus is priced at $149 (₹10,200) and will come in black, white, and blue color options.
