Sweden music giant Spotify has faced a lot of backlashes recently. And for good reasons. The music streaming firm one-by-one removed most loved features from its application and users were quick to give them the feedback. After removing the quick toggle button from Android, which lets users switch from online to offline mode swiftly, they also removed support for the widget back in August. Now, after facing a lot of flack for removing it, Spotify has re-introduced it in a new update.
Spotify said that they reinstated the widget with a slight performance boost. Spotify in their recent community thread wrote, “We value your input and ideas, and wanted to let you know that we have made some improvements to the performance and visuals of the Android Widget.”
Spotify has enhanced the widget in subtle ways. Users can now resize the widget as an alternative of sustaining the mounted ratio four x 1 above. Another minute change is the UI improvement. It feels simpler to change the tracks, unlike the axed widget option.
The newer update is rolling out globally and can be updated within the Google Play Store. To be more precise, the new update is in the 184.108.40.2064.
Another news includes the addition of sharing Spotify music on Snapchat. Users cab soon can soon share what tunes or podcasts they’re listening to with their Snapchat friends. This share option will be available in the iOS and Android Spotify apps soon.
