We are only a few days shy of the Microsoft event, where we could see some upgraded laptops. As usual, Microsoft wouldn’t reveal what’s in stores for Windows fans but thanks to some leaks, we now know what to expect.
An online German publication revealed the key specifications of the Surface Pro 7. These include:
- Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD
- Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD
- Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
- Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
The report further suggests that these specifications could be limited to only European markets. But that doesn’t mean similar spec-based Pro 7 won’t make it to the US. The presence of the i3 variant is quite shocking as a base model in Germany starts with an Intel Core i5 and 8GB memory, and in the US, the same can be said for the Surface Pro 6.
But, this can be great news for people who want to have a tablet experience but cannot afford the premium range of tablets.
To jog your memory, the Surface Pro 6 was priced at $899 (base model) when it was launched. If Microsoft decides not to increase the price of the upcoming model, we could see a base model of the Surface Pro that could cost around $600 or less. Of course, this is all speculations. All will be revealed at Microsoft’s event which is scheduled on October 2nd.
We’ll keep you updated once the products are official.
