Swiggy Launches A New Food-Delivery App ‘Daily’; Focus To Be On Home-Style Meals

Local food-delivery app Swiggy has launched another app called Daily on Monday. It is a subscription-based meal app which offers foodies a chance to take a bite from meals that will feel more home-like. It will be backed by tiffin service providers, home chefs, and organized vendors.

The app, which is currently available in Gurugram, will deliver food from the price range of ₹50-₹150. You won’t have to pay a delivery fee. The app will also allow users to schedule a meal in advance or choose for a daily, weekly or monthly subscription.

Sriharsha Majety, CEO of Swiggy said, “As we worked on various initiatives like Swiggy POP and SUPER to make food ordering more convenient and cost-effective, we realized that there is a growing demand for quality and affordable everyday meals. With a mix of organized vendors and home chefs, Swiggy Daily will cater to this latent demand for homestyle meals that are an affordable, long-term solution for our daily food needs.”

Daily plans to serve you fresh and hot food with a list that will boast of a list with over 25 options for every meal cooked by Homely, Lunchly, Fig, iDabba, and Caloriesmart. Tiffin services like Dailymeals.in and Dial a Meal will also provide food along with home chefs like Shachi Jain, Sumita’s Food Planet, and Mrs. Ahmed Kitchen. Swiggy also plans on offering cut fruits, snacks, and beverages soon.

After the initial phase of launch in Gurugram, the service will be extended to Bangalore and Mumbai in the coming months.
