Oscar-winning Hollywood star Kate Winslet was hospitalized after she suffered an accident while shooting for the historical drama Lee in Croatia. Her spokesperson said she is doing well and will resume filming this week.
Ellen Kuras is directing the film, and it stars Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, Andrea Riseborough, and Josh O’Conner.
In the upcoming feature film, Winslet plays Lee Miller, the Vogue cover model-turned-photographer who, through her photographs, brought the world’s attention to the monstrosities committed in Nazi concentration camps.
“Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week,” read a statement shared with the entertainment website Deadline.
Winslet was seen on the small screen with Mare of Easttown, which earned her an Emmy Award last year, and has a pivotal role in the upcoming film Avatar: The Way of Water; she was most recently seen on
