Instagram's next feature might be a copy of "BeReal" Social Media App.

Instagram is secretly working on a new feature that may be similar to BeReal social media photo app .

For those who are unfamiliar, BeReal is an app that lets you take a picture of yourself with both your front and back camera simultaneously, at a random time, within a two-minute window.

It's not the first time Instagram is copying a functionality from another app. It has borrowed stories from Snapchat and reels from TikTok.

The company told The Verge that it plans to test the IG Candid feature on Instagram.

With the ever-growing popularity of social media among Gen Z, BeReal currently ranks at the top position on Apple's App Store, ahead of both Instagram and Facebook .
