Periscope lenses aren't new as a lot of Android phones already feature periscope lens.
Google Pixel 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra come with periscope lens.
Periscope lenses allow the optics assembly of longer telephoto cameras that can be placed horizontally.
According to analyst Jeff Pu, Apple has already received the sample units and the final decision to be made by may 2022.
