23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams Thanks Sister Venus After her Final Match.
On Friday night, Serena lost the final match of her career at the 2022 U.S. Open.
After the match, the tennis legend gave an emotional speech on the court and thanked her older Venus Williams.
She said, “I wouldn’t be Serena if there wasn’t Venus. She’s the only reason Serena Williams ever existed.”
She also thanked her parents, including her late father, Richard Williams.
She won 73 singles titles, including 23 Grand Slam victories.
She said that I can't imagine not playing tennis because it has played such a significant role in my life.
