Highlights
- Ability to mark multiple Explore posts as Not Interested.
- The ability to report Instagram that you do not wish to see suggested posts with particular hashtags or captions.
Instagram announced that they are testing two new features that will allow users to customize their Instagram experience.
Users can now control what they want to see on their Instagram feed.
Additionally, users will now be able to mark multiple posts that appear on the explore page as not interested.
Once they are marked as not interested, Instagram will immediately hide those posts and similar posts in the future.
Instagram will begin testing the ability to inform Instagram if users do not want to see suggested posts with particular words, phrases, or emojis in the hashtags or captions. Users can use this feature to block irrelevant content.
Later in the post, Instagram highlights a few other ways a user can take advantage of a more customized feed.
Snooze Suggested Posts
Instagram users can take a break from suggested posts by easily snoozing them for 30 days. Simply click the X in the upper right corner and snooze all suggested posts for 30 days.
Adjust Sensitive Content Control
This feature allows users to see more or less of the same types of sensitive content. To view this setting – visit your profile and select Settings from the drop-down menu>Account>Sensitive Content Control.
