Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi teased the Mi 9T in a cryptic tweet. The tweet wants the audience to guess what ‘T’ stands for. The phone was in the rumor mill for quite a while. Don’t get too excited though, there is still no word on its specifications or an official release date. To jog your memory, the Mi 9, Mi 9 SE, and Mi 9 Transparent Edition were announced back in February in China.
Here’s the answer! Mi 9T is coming soon! Guess what T stands for? pic.twitter.com/0mY2N7lnSx

If you closely observe the image tweeted by the official Xiaomi account, the phone sports a full-screen display, which means the Mi 9T won’t be using a notch or a punch-hole display to accommodate the front camera. What you can clearly see is an earpiece. Expect Xiaomi to hop on to the pop-up selfie bandwagon.
Rumor mills are guessing that the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro that were unveiled in China could be rebranded in some markets as the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro. Although both look very different from each other.
Xiaomi is keeping the ‘T’ in wraps and has asked the audience to guess what it could mean. Many are speculating that the T might stand for a “turbo” feature or an ultra-thin build.
