Google’s search engine will now be used for more than searching for things. The search giant recently introduced a new feature that will help Indian users find, compare, and recharge prepaid mobile plans using the ‘Google search’.

Through Google Search, you can now compare mobile recharge plans, compare discounts and recharge with the most suitable plan. You can see the screenshot below. You just need to search ‘prepaid mobile recharge.’
Airtel, Vodafone-Idea, Jio, and BSNL subscribers can avail of this feature. Once on the search page, users will need to fill in their details into a brief form to surface a list of the available prepaid plans from the relevant carrier. In some cases, the mobile number and operator details are already filled. You need to click on Browse plans.
To recharge your prepaid mobile number, just select a plan. You get to view the different recharge offers from mobile payment service providers such as Google Pay, Paytm, Mobikwik, and FreeCharge. Users can either pay via a mobile wallet or payment service of their choice through the app itself or the service provider’s website. Users will also get a confirmation that will house the support information.
The feature isn’t yet available to everyone but it will be rolled out to all the users soon. Google could also add more carrier services in the future.
